WILLY WONKA AND
THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson
Warner Bros.; Directed by Mel Stuart
Rated G; 100 minutes; 1971

Pure of heart Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum) along with four grossly gluttonous girls and boys win the opportunity to tour eccentric recluse Willy Wonka's (Gene Wilder) magical candy factory and the chance to win a lifetime supply of chocolate in this adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic. One-by-one, the children are undone by their own greed as the group sails down chocolate rivers and becomes part of Wonkavision until only Charlie is left to claim a prize even more grand than a lifetime of chocolate.
