GOOD MORNING VIETNAM

Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker

Touchstone Pictures; Directed by Barry Levinson

Rated R; 120 minutes; 1987

Robin Williams gives a hilarious, one-man tour-de-force performance as lightning-tongued disk jockey Adrian Cronauer, a popular Crete military DJ who is brought to Saigon in 1965 to help boost morale. Adrian makes a few unexpected changes at the government-controlled radio station when he abandons approved news items and a playlist of Percy Faith’s greatest hits for a format of raucous humor where nothing is sacred.
