1930’s Harlem nightclub owner Sugar Ray (Richard Pryor) and his adopted son Quick (Eddie Murphy) defend their club against a white gangster named Bugsy Calhoune (Michael Lerner), a femme fatale (Jasmine Guy), and a fleet of corrupt cops.
