Six university friends (Kenneth Branagh, Rita Rudner, Emma Thompson, and others) reunite for a weekend after ten years of separation. Caught up in New Year’s celebrations and surrounded by the rousing music of their youth they re-establish lost friendships, rekindle old romances, and help each other confront new fears while growing closer than they ever thought possible. During the weekend one of the friends, Peter (Stephen Fry) announces that he has AIDS.
