Reeves stars in this story of survival set in the 1920's.  A mail pilot (Reeves) and a rich man's daughter (Arquette) crash-land on a mountain in Idaho. Everything that can go wrong, does, on this mountain where Arquette's character arrives with a broken leg and Reeves character suffers a viscious attack by a pack of hungry wolves. Reeves, already traumatized by a previous plane crash for which he felt responsible, has retreated into a private world where he is only happy when he is alone and flying. He must overcome his bitterness and his dislike of Arquette to survive on the mountain.
