MARTY is about a homely Bronx butcher (Ernest Borgnine), who is unmarried and uninterested. One night, lured to a dance hall, he meets a girl in the same state of mind. Their relationship, seemingly so simple and unremarkable becomes a thing of haunting beauty and endearing wonder.
