Embattled Vietnam vet Stephen Simmons (Kevin Costner) returns home to rural Mississippi and attempts to piece his life back together after the war in this poignant ‘70s coming-of-age story. Meanwhile, Stephen’s children wage "war" with the town’s junkyard bullies over the possession of a tree house.
