An out-of-work Madison Avenue advertising executive (Danny DeVito) joins up with Uncle Sam to help turn a group of blockhead Army recruits into bookish eggheads. The military brass gets a little tarnished as his radical teaching style doesn’t quite conform to their rigid military authority for a hilarious battle of wills.
