Erik (Brad Renfro) the neighborhood bad boy befriends Dexter (Joseph Mazzello), a courageous young boy who, because he has contracted the AIDS virus through a blood transfusion, is avoided by everyone. Together, the two set out on a quest to find a "cure" in this moving story of healing, friendship, and the enduring power of love.
