Anna Montgomery (Olivia D’Abo), an out-of-place British schoolteacher, arrives in Elma, Texas eager to share her love of soccer with the students. After enlisting the help of former football star and town sheriff, Tom Palmer (Steve Guttenberg), she finds newly discovered talent and together, she and "The Big Green" team attempt to bring victory and pride back to their sleepy Texas town.
