A single father (Laurence Fishburne) struggles to instill his son with the values and the confidence to stay out of the gangs that have taken over the street of his inner-city South Central Los Angeles neighborhood. Meanwhile, one of his son’s friends plans to escape the ‘hood, while the other succumbs to gang violence.
