EVERYTIME WE SAY GOODBYE

Tom Hanks, Cristina Marsillach, Benedict Taylor, Anat Atzmon, Gila Almagor

TriStar; Directed by Moshe Mizrahi

Rated PG-13; 95 minutes; 1986

Tom Hanks stars as an American flyer who is recovering from a leg injury in Jerusalem. It is there that he meets a quiet Jewish girl and is immediately attracted to her.  Despite her efforts to avoid him because of their vastly different backgrounds, they find themselves continually running into each other.  Though this story is set against a WWII background its focus is on love and religion and the difficult choices that have to be made because of them both.
