A frightful accident leaves a thirteen year-old girl maimed and her horse crazed from pain. To repair both her daughter and her beloved horse, a high-profile British magazine editor (Kristin Scott Thomas) takes the two to Montana to work with a wrangler (Robert Redford) who has an almost mystical gift for calming horses and healing broken spirits.
