Howard Brackett (Kevin Kline), a small
town teacher, is "outed" by a former
student-turned-award-winning-actor (Matt Dillon) at the Oscars, even though
Howard isn’t actually gay. Now, the woman he’s about to marry is having second
thoughts, his mother is devastated when she thinks that she’ll never have
grandchildren, and a gay reporter for Entertainment Tonight falls for
Howard in this "out-an-out" comedy.
