This action thriller set in a futuristic Western location tells of a world in which the military simply goes into nurseries and selects the most aggressive babies to bring into the Army. Kurt Russell is a galactic warrior-of-the-future trained exclusively for combat and is eventually rendered obsolete. Exiled to a remote planet, he defends a band of settlers, discovering his own humanity in the process.
