Rated PG-13; 95 minutes; 1999

In this historically challenged comedy set in Washington, D.C., high school students Betsy Jobs (Kirsten Dunst) and Arlene Lorenzo (Michelle Williams) wander off during a class trip to the White House and meet President Richard Nixon (Dan Hedaya). They become the official dog walkers of the First Family's dog, Checkers, and secret advisors to Tricky Dick during the Watergate scandal. Discard your history books and plan to be enlightened on audiotape gaps, slush funds, paper shredding, and everything else you never knew about the third-rate burglary that turned into a first-rate scandal in the 1970s.
