Homer Wells was a child without parents. Larch was a man without children. Theirs was an extraordinary bond. At the orphanage, Larch taught Homer everything about being a doctor, but nothing about right and wrong. All Homer really wanted was the one thing Larch could not give him: rules to live by. So he had to look elsewhere. When a couple invited him to work on their Maine farm, he made the toughest decision of his life: to leave the only family he's ever known. Now he's out on his own, in over his head, and caught in a love triangle. And he's starting to realize it's time he lived by his own rules.
