Legally Blonde

Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Bliar,
Matthew Davis, Victor Garber
MGM/UA; Directed by Robert Luketic
Rated PG-13; 94 minutes; 2001

This film, based upon Amanda Brown's novel of the same name, is the story of a young woman who appears to have it all - she's the president of her sorority, a hawaiian tropic girl, miss June in her campus calendar, and, above all, a natural blonde with blonde hair. Her life takes an unusual turn when she is unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend (Davis) when he goes to Harvard for law school. Determined to win him back and retire her "dumb blond" stereotype, she follows him to law school and enrolls in classes. She eventually takes on a big murder case in Beverly Hills and works the case with more legal savvy than she, or anyone, ever imagined.
