Three adolescent girls' discovery of their first love, their sexual passion, and their own identity provide the basis for this story set in a posh boarding school. When new student Mary (Mischa Barton) is dropped into this new environment by her hateful stepmother, she finds a true education coming only from her two new roommates. Victoria (Jessica Pare), the popular one, and Paulie (Piper Perado), the risk-taker, have developed a relationship beyond that of mere roommates. When their relationship is revealed to their families and their classmates, each girl must make a decision that will have dire consequences.
