Slim (Lopez) is a working class waitress who finds her life completely transformed when she meets and marries the man that she thinks is the man of her dreams. Mitch (Campbell) is a wealthy contractor who moves Slim and her 5-year-old daughter Gracie into a beautiful home. Slim’s dream soon turns into a nightmare when Mitch becomes abusive to the point of being psychotic. She is forced to go on the run and when he pursues her, she prepares herself for a final showdown.
