Dickie Pilager is an all-smiles but visionless candidate running for governor of Colorado. He is the odds-on favorite to win even though he is a renowned anti-environmentalist and is “grammatically challenged.” When a dead body shows up at one of Dickie’s appearances, his campaign manager hires a private investigator to check it out. The detective digs up more dirt than expected in this realistic story about the little guy NOT winning and the real true story that money rules and unqualified candidates sometimes win just because they look like a winner.
