Legendary athlete Jim Braddock was a once – promising boxer who had to leave the ring after a string of losses. As the nation entered the Great Depression, he took a series of jobs to feed his family until a chance cancellation gave him the opportunity to fight again. After his amazing and unlikely win, he was dubbed the “Cinderella Man” and went on to become the heavyweight boxing champ, elevating his own game but also representing the dreams of the disenfranchised masses.
