Recently widowed well-to-do Laura Henderson needs something to do with her time and money and soon finds a solution in a derelict theatre in the West End.  She fixes it up and hires theater impresario Vivian Van Damm to run it, though the two immediately butt heads due to Mrs. Henderson’s fierce independence.  She goes from non-stop plays to a nude revue and becomes the only theater to stay open during World War II in this delightful period piece.
