Hal Hefner is an average sophomore who stutters and suffers the daily indignities of a typical teenager. Amazingly the star of the debate team sees past his stutter and pulls him into her world. Hal is quickly smitten and although this quirky film does not have a typical storybook ending, he does learn humbling lessons about life and love.
