In this psychedelic musical film that rolls along to the beat of many Beatles hits, a young dock worker travels to America in the 60s amidst our greatest social upheaval and falls in love with a sheltered teenager named Lucy. When her brother Max is drafted to fight in the Vietnam War, the two join the anti-war movement, the struggle for free speech and civil rights.
