Jose is a chef at his brothers Mexican restaurant in New York. Tammy is a waitress there who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant. When Tammy gets fired for being late Jose inexplicably leaves with her sacrificing his job. The two spend an incredible day discussing their future and with Joses loving parents who show Tammy the healing power of family.
