12-year-old Lily Strickland has lost her father to the sea so she sets out on the journey of a lifetime to ease her heartache. Lily leaves the comfort of her grandparents’ and mothers’ home to find the closure that she needs to heal her loss. This film is set in Alabama in 1965 during the Civil Rights marches.
