This stylish, twist-filled film noir centers on an adulterous couple whose scheming leads to arson, blackmail and murder. Escaping the monotony of a loveless marriage, Raymond Yale becomes entangled in an affair with the beautiful and troubled Carla. Carla presents him with a chance to take the money and run on the proceeds of her husband’s latest crime. Ray sets a plan in motion that goes horribly wrong but feels that nobody knows… then the first blackmail note arrives.
